Whats Included in the goose camping system

STAY CONNECTED

The extra long canvas wing attaches to any motorcycle keeping the seat dry while also providing a shelter for your riding apparel. No more waking up worried about your motorcycle. You are literally connected to it.

KEEP YOUR COOL

The Goose has two doors and two windows. These all have a fly screen and canvas layer so you can configure the openings to suit the weather conditions. We recommend having just the fly screen zipped up. This creates a fantastic four-way cross breeze for maximum ventilation. You can now be at one with your bike under the stars.

EVERYTHING HAS IT’S PLACE

The beauty of the Goose is that all of your camping gear is together in one neat roll. All of the poles and pegs are stored in the reinforced pvc pole pouch. This keeps the more fragile elements of the system protected in the centre of the roll.

SLEEP EASY

Our high density foam mattress gives superior comfort and longevity, compared to inflatable alternatives. The cover and sleeping bag are completely removable, so you can throw it all in the washing machine.

MOTORCYCLE SPECIFIC

Is the Goose the first ever tent with a helmet hook? We’re not certain, but it sure is handy. We have hooks on both ends (under the beaks) to keep your helmet dry, safe and hidden from passers by.

Setup anywhere

No grass? No problem. You don’t always find the ideal ground to peg into when camping. A wingman doesn’t rely on tension from pegs and guide ropes to keep its structure. The canvas is weighty and grounded, while the thick foam mattress fills the entire footprint for a solid, stable setup anywhere.

Grass, gravel, concrete… if you can park on it, you can camp on it.

Customer reviews

The Goose is Fantastic

The Goose arrived and was in perfect condition. Very good quality material and great construction, no flaws at all. Ex armed forces, I know this type of material will not let me down. I was so exited I slept in it in the back garden the day it arrived. Fantastic night sleep, was as warm as the reviews said, and that was a chilly March night.

Love the Goose!

Love the Goose! An amazing indestructible tent with material thats worth every dime. The ventilation is good, there hardly ever is any condensation on the inside which is rare for a one layer tent. On the outside it is extremely waterproof, I once woke up in a puddle one Inch deep and yet I stayed dry inside. Customer support is great too, friendly and helpful in case you ever need spare parts. After about 60 nights out it still looks like brand new.

Easy to put up and take down

Great service and a fabulous product. Absolutely ‘fit for purpose’ as a motorcycle camping system. Easy to put up and take down... 5-7 minutes. Very comfortable and with the fly screens I slept under the stars without any mozzie issues. The built in sleeping bag and foam mat worked great... no need to fear punctures/ losing air as sometimes occurs in inflating mats. I’m looking forward to many more nights under the stars.

Terrific piece of kit

Terrific piece of kit. No more multiple packs to secure. Comfy and very warm. Had a down pour on first outing but awoke dry and happy. Well done all. Its obviously had great thought put on to the design by biker's. Excellent all round. Can't see me buying another tent ever.

Best tent I've ever slept in!

Best tent I've ever slept in! Yes a bold statement I know, but these tents are on another level. For years I’ve been sleeping rough in cheap tent! waking up sweating, blistered and blinded from the sun only to be greeted with a walk whilst trying to Strech out my lower back, BUT NO MORE! The only thing I have to endure with the wingman of the road tents are the look of shear jealousy on other peoples faces as I step out from a fantastic nights sleep. People often are concerned as I’m sleeping in, which I suppose is a bit frustrating for others as they’re trying to walk off their ache from their rough nights sleep in their “ok tent”. I’ve bought cheap tents and yes they are tents you can kinda sleep in, but they’re no wingman of the road! These are solid 🙌

Why Canvas?

Banner Image

Unlike plastic tents, canvas allows small moisture particles from breath & sweat to escape directly through the tent fabric. Keeping you dry and comfortable. What this means for us? canvas allows us to have a highly effective single layer tent. Eliminating the need to peg out an inner then outer tent. Which is necessary when using nylon. Saving time and effort when camping.

Heavy rains cause the cotton canvas fibres to swell, further tightening the weave in wet conditions, keeping the water outside while you stay dry inside. Wingman Of The Road’s canvas is pre-treated so it is quick-drying and won’t retain water when you are ready to pack up and hit the road.

Ever been woken up as soon as the sun comes up when camping? Our 420g canvas blacks out sunlight allowing you to get the rest you need and to wake up when you want too.

Canvas is heavy yes, but it is comfortable.
It keeps you warm at night and keeps you cool when that morning sun hits. Cotton is a poor conductor which makes it a better insulator than plastic retaining body heat on cold nights without building condensation.
If you’ve ever woken up in a plastic tent feeling damp sweaty and uncomfortable – you have experienced insufficient ventilation and breathability.

Tents made from cotton canvas are tough, rip-resistant, and repairable. A properly maintained canvas tent can hold up to decades of use. Rips and tears from falling branches or extreme winds can be sewn up by hand with a simple needle and thread. Ripping and tearing easily, synthetic tent fabric is nearly impossible to repair. Any damage can result in a ruined camping trip and require a total tent replacement.

Using natural materials in earth tone colours as opposed to synthetic materials in fluorescent colours. You will effortlessly blend into your surroundings. This is particularly important when wild camping.
