The Toucan

All-In-One motorcycle camping system for 2up riders or the biker who needs bit a more space.

Whats Included in the toucan camping system

STAY CONNECTED

The extra long canvas wing attaches to any motorcycle keeping the seat dry while also providing a shelter for your riding apparel. No more waking up worried about your motorcycle. You are literally connected to it.

KEEP YOUR COOL

The Toucan has two doors and two windows. These all have a fly screen and canvas layer so you can configure the openings to suit the weather conditions. We recommend having just the fly screen zipped up. This creates a fantastic four-way cross breeze for maximum ventilation. You can now be at one with your bike under the stars.

EVERYTHING HAS IT’S PLACE

The beauty of the Toucan is that all of your camping gear is together in one neat roll. All of the poles and pegs are stored in the reinforced pvc pole pouch. This keeps the more fragile elements of the system protected in the centre of the roll.

SLEEP EASY

Our high density foam mattress gives superior comfort and longevity, compared to inflatable alternatives. The cover and sleeping bag are completely removable, so you can throw it all in the washing machine.

MOTORCYCLE SPECIFIC

Is the Toucan the first ever tent with a helmet hook? We’re not certain, but it sure is handy. We have hooks on both ends (under the beaks) to keep your helmet dry, safe and hidden from passers by.

Setup anywhere

No grass? No problem. You don’t always find the ideal ground to peg into when camping. A wingman doesn’t rely on tension from pegs and guide ropes to keep its structure. The canvas is weighty and grounded, while the thick foam mattress fills the entire footprint for a solid, stable setup anywhere.

Grass, gravel, concrete… if you can park on it, you can camp on it.

Two can in a toucan

The wingman Toucan can definitely take two with a snuggle, amazing tent with quality build that keeps you warm when it’s cold outside without condensation and cool when it’s hot outside. Used well this year on the back of the Harley, we’ve a Goose also for on the bobber, would definitely buy again without a thought as wingman customer service shows great pride in their products, highly recommended from an over seasoned biker.

This tent is great. Proper bit of kit!

The toucan wingman tent is great. Just got back from a camping trip by the sea in Wales and the tent was comfy for me and the Mrs. The wing of the tent tied to the bike and gave loads more room and shelter for putting the panniers, boots and other cooking gear under. Tried out the wingman kitchen and cooked a decent steak, onions, asparagus and sauteed potatoes using one log chopped up with a mini axe and a few twigs collected on the beach. Its a quality canvas tent and cool design which puts up and down quickly and can be used freestanding so very versatile. Prepare to chat to everyone on a campsite, all came over to ask about it. Fits securely on the back of the xl1000v rear rack using two rok straps, so makes a comfy back rest for a pillion. Top bit of kit!

Wingman Toucan

I have been camping for 50 years and have owned many top of the range tents in all fabrics. I have never seen a build quality or fabric weight as good as the Toucan and this is best tent I've ever purchased. I'd be gobsmacked if this didn't deliver in the field based upon this quality and design. Not a big reviewer of stuff but had to comment on this.

Love my toucan

Easy to set up, very comfortable and so nice that it's a complete ready to use unit. It is built with quality that will last me for many years. Just makes sense to buy a good product that will last. There are not short comings with a wingman and would recommend everyone to make this their moto tent.

Why Canvas?

Banner Image

Unlike plastic tents, canvas allows small moisture particles from breath & sweat to escape directly through the tent fabric. Keeping you dry and comfortable. What this means for us? canvas allows us to have a highly effective single layer tent. Eliminating the need to peg out an inner then outer tent. Which is necessary when using nylon. Saving time and effort when camping.

Heavy rains cause the cotton canvas fibres to swell, further tightening the weave in wet conditions, keeping the water outside while you stay dry inside. Wingman Of The Road’s canvas is pre-treated so it is quick-drying and won’t retain water when you are ready to pack up and hit the road.

Ever been woken up as soon as the sun comes up when camping? Our 420g canvas blacks out sunlight allowing you to get the rest you need and to wake up when you want too.

Canvas is heavy yes, but it is comfortable.
It keeps you warm at night and keeps you cool when that morning sun hits. Cotton is a poor conductor which makes it a better insulator than plastic retaining body heat on cold nights without building condensation.
If you’ve ever woken up in a plastic tent feeling damp sweaty and uncomfortable – you have experienced insufficient ventilation and breathability.

Tents made from cotton canvas are tough, rip-resistant, and repairable. A properly maintained canvas tent can hold up to decades of use. Rips and tears from falling branches or extreme winds can be sewn up by hand with a simple needle and thread. Ripping and tearing easily, synthetic tent fabric is nearly impossible to repair. Any damage can result in a ruined camping trip and require a total tent replacement.

Using natural materials in earth tone colours as opposed to synthetic materials in fluorescent colours. You will effortlessly blend into your surroundings. This is particularly important when wild camping.
